About Me
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
The power of movement lies in the fact that it can change you physically, mentally & emotionally. Your body speaks when words cannot.
My principles though based in dance, pilates or yoga, my practice has over time changed to a more fluid & functional way of movement. Allowing the union of your body and breath. As Joseph Pilates would call it all movement should be ‘a relaxed effort’.
That is when you know that you are moving from a space of awareness, in that space, with focus and presence, there is no scope for you to injure yourself.
My Teaching Style
I like to focus on form and alignment before all else. Form, which is precise yet fluid and graceful. A little bit of stillness practise at the end of each class is mandatory, allowing our body to come back to a state of equilibrium.
My Story
Trained in ballet and modern jazz dance, practising yoga for the past 12 years and having completed a 200hr yoga TTC, a graphic designer, a biodynamic cranio-sacral practitioner (www.bcst.in), a pilates instructor (trained in MAT Pilates by Balanced Body) by profession, all of my trainings and experiences have brought me to experience that very quality of change & stillness through movement.
I am a mother of 2 teens, aged 49...sun chaser, moon worshipper, music lover, crazy about animals, love travelling, and constantly learning about our body, working on moving into oneness & stillness 7& amazed at this soul journey that I am currently on.
